Welcome to DeepFall

Characters

The people, powers, romances, friendships, and impossible survivors at the center of the DeepFall universe.

Couples & Bonds

Love in the middle of catastrophe

Mateo Alvarez & Elias Ruiz

Mateo Alvarez & Elias Ruiz

Marriage · Veil instinct · Political and emotional center

Mateo Alvarez is one of DeepFall’s great political and emotional anchors: a man who learned how to hold language, law, grief, and command together when the world kept trying to fracture. Elias Ruiz is his husband, quiet but essential, and the first human to instinctively navigate the Veil’s compressed geography.

Their marriage is one of the series’ grounding forces: love that survives government, crisis, supernatural distortion, and the pressure of being needed by everyone else.

Jonah Reyes & Aaron Briggs

Jonah Reyes & Aaron Briggs

Marriage · Matter and entropy · Reality under pressure

Jonah Reyes is entropy-born, stranger than any ordinary power, and the truth of him grows from distortion into reality-level force. Aaron Briggs carries power over matter on a scale that makes buildings, weapons, vehicles, and battlefields answer him.

Jonah unravels. Aaron stabilizes. Their marriage is the line between impossible force and chosen humanity.

Rowan Hale & Ash Jean-Ashton de la Roche-sur-Yon

Rowan Hale & Ash Jean-Ashton de la Roche-sur-Yon

Romance · Vampire history · Old-world survival

Rowan Hale is beautiful in the most accidental and unfair way possible, usually unaware of how much attention he draws. Ash Jean-Ashton de la Roche-sur-Yon is old, dangerous, elegant, and carrying centuries of survival under every quiet movement.

Rowan gives Ash a present tense. Ash gives Rowan the truth that love can hold centuries without turning them into chains.

Hiram Martin & Edgar Wright

Hiram Martin & Edgar Wright

Young love · Flight and laser eyes · Team PU legacy

Hiram Martin is the perfect-human nightmare of power: blond, flying, impossible, and permanently frozen in a body that refuses ordinary adulthood. Edgar Wright looks softer, nerdier, stranger, and more British than the world expects for someone who can burn through catastrophe with laser eyes.

Hiram came out of Team PU’s public phenomenon and later FTF’s global rise. Edgar becomes the person beside him when the world expects a symbol and Hiram needs someone real.

Elara Vance & Kael Barns

Elara Vance & Kael Barns

Romance · Command and force · Beautiful disaster management

Elara Vance is short, stunning, controlled, and terrifyingly capable, with emerald eyes and a mind built for leadership under pressure. Kael Barns is tall, lean, tanned, and physically dangerous in a way that never fully hides the rough edges of him.

Elara sees the room. Kael hits what must be hit. Together they prove that love can be both strategic and feral.

Alfie Byrne “Frosty” & Chuck Kissinger

Alfie Byrne “Frosty” & Chuck Kissinger

Romance · Ice and damage · Recovery without sentimentality

Alfie Byrne insists on being called Frosty, weaponizing ice, cold, and complaint with equal precision. Chuck Kissinger is rougher, older-feeling, average in a way that becomes attractive through force of personality, and carrying damage that refuses to behave politely.

Their relationship is jagged, funny, physical, and hard-won. Alfie does not soften the world for Chuck. He stays with him in it.

Tov Gunnarsson & Tristan Cox

Tov Gunnarsson & Tristan Cox

Romance · Norse beauty and chaotic media disaster

Tov Gunnarsson looks like a beautiful Norseman accidentally dressed by laundry day, but beneath that unfair exterior is a nerd, a gamer, and a man whose sincerity can be as dangerous as any weapon. Tristan Cox is skinny, pale, messy, hazel-eyed, and embarrassing in exactly the way that makes Tov’s devotion hilarious and touching.

Nobody thinks they belong together at first glance. That is exactly why it works.

The Siren Zahra Darvish, Sophie Murphy & Cosmo

The Siren Zahra Darvish, Sophie Murphy & Cosmo

Siren power · Psychic power · MAX room · Cat authority

Zahra Darvish is Iranian, beautiful, furious, short, elegant, and lethal in presence before she ever uses her voice. As the Siren, her power can shape, command, calm, and cut through panic, making her one of FTF’s most dangerous and necessary figures.

Sophie Murphy is a psychic powerhouse, survivor of the circlet and amplifier, and one of the most morally dangerous heroes alive. Beside Zahra, she is friend, witness, and reminder that power must stay human. Cosmo is the grey-and-white tabby cat with ice-blue eyes who somehow outranks everyone.

FTF & Close Allies

The people who keep showing up

Mara Cunningham and Frank Shore

Mara Cunningham & Frank Shore “Flames”

Not a couple · Strategy and fire · Team PU past

Mara Cunningham is a stern, mousey, book-carrying analyst with glasses, a pencil behind her ear, and a mind sharp enough to make powerful people feel underprepared. She is not romantically involved with Frank. Mara’s strength is precision: patterns, systems, routes, and the exact places where reality, infrastructure, and human decisions begin to fail.

Frank Shore, known as Flames, is older, dirty-looking, muscular but not polished, and generally embarrassing by appearance alone. His fire powers make him vital in rescue and combat, and he was part of Team PU with Hiram before FTF became the world’s mature protector force.

Vincenzo Fabius, Haruto Tachibana, and FBI Agent Ken Mercer

Vincenzo Fabius, Haruto Tachibana & FBI Agent Ken Mercer

Folding space · Enemy aftermath · Federal grit

Vincenzo Fabius is Italian, powerful, and still learning how to turn extraordinary ability into restraint. His controlled folds can shorten distance, extract people, and change the shape of rescue when used with discipline. Haruto Tachibana is Japanese, tall, skinny, dangerous, and defined by the consequences of doctrine, violence, and the long road from enemy to contained liability.

FBI Agent Ken Mercer looks like he walked out of the 1980s in a brown suit, glasses, and slicked-back hair, but he becomes one of the most important human institutional bridges.

Dr. Paul Petrov and Dr. Lena Jacob

Dr. Paul Petrov & Dr. Lena Jacob

Science · Stabilizers and gates · Sarcasm under pressure

Dr. Paul Petrov, usually Doc P, is the balding, glasses-wearing scientist in knitted sweaters who turns impossible danger into testable procedure and usually has a sarcastic comment loading before the room finishes panicking. He is funny, brilliant, and often more emotionally important than he admits.

Dr. Lena Jacob is the lab-coat-wearing, pocket-protector kind of genius who looks like she never sees daylight because she usually does not. With dark brown eyes, sun-kissed skin, brown hair tied back, and a mind built for machinery, gates, engines, and impossible systems, she is one of DeepFall’s essential scientific anchors.

The Wanderers

A species survived

Ozon Wander and Molo Wander

Ozon Wander & Molo Wander

Interdimensional refugees · Father and son · A dead universe behind them

Ozon Wander is the exhausted leader of the Wanderers, an older, bald, lavender-skinned father who carried the last of his people through the impossible after their universe was destroyed by an Orphionoid. Molo Wander is his son: taller, younger, lavender-skinned, shaggy blue-haired, brilliant, emotionally open, and still learning Earth through food, games, grief, and love.

The Wanderers are not aliens from space. They are refugees from another universe. Their arrival turns DeepFall into more than a town of heroes.
